2. Data We Collect

Dinosoruscopter does not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information on our servers. All app data lives exclusively on your device.

The following data is stored locally on your device only using IndexedDB and localStorage:

• Tasks, lists, categories, and settings you create in the app
• Custom radio stations you add
• Earth collection assets and progress
• A randomly generated Peer ID (a UUID created on your device — not linked to your identity)
• A randomly generated Earth Device ID (used to identify your Earth collection locally — not linked to your identity)
• App preferences such as theme, sort order, and marquee message

None of this data leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Backup feature to export a file or the Peer Sync feature to share data with another device you control.

3. Peer Sync (WebRTC)

Dinosoruscopter includes an optional peer-to-peer sync feature powered by PeerJS (WebRTC). If you choose to use this feature:

• Your randomly generated Peer ID is registered with the PeerJS signalling server to facilitate connections
• Task and list data is transmitted directly between your devices — it does not pass through or get stored on our servers
• The PeerJS signalling server only brokers the initial connection handshake and does not retain your data
• Sync is entirely optional — the app functions fully without it

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Dinosoruscopter displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalised or non-personalised ads. This may include:

• Advertising ID (resettable in your device settings)
• Approximate location (country/region level)
• Device information (model, OS version)
• App interaction data for ad measurement

Google's data collection is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalised ads at any time in your Android device settings under Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID.

5. Internet Access & External Services

The app uses an internet connection for the following purposes only:

• Radio streaming — audio streams are fetched from third-party station URLs you select; no personal data is sent
• Peer Sync — WebRTC signalling as described above
• Serving ads — via Google AdMob
• In-app browser — when you open external links, the destination website's own privacy policy applies

6. Storage Permissions

On Android 9 and below, the app requests READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permissions solely to save backup files to your Downloads folder and to open files for restore or import. These permissions are not used to read any other files on your device.

On Android 10 and above, the app uses Android's scoped storage — no broad storage permission is required or requested.

7. Backup & Export Files

When you use the Backup feature, a .json file is saved to your device's Downloads folder. When you use Earth Portal export, a .ckearth file is saved locally. These files contain only your own app data and remain entirely under your control. We do not receive copies of these files.

8. Children's Privacy

Dinosoruscopter is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
